Mama’s Carrot Cake

INGREDIENTS

 

+Frosting:

°2/2 cups icing sugar

°1/2 cup unsalted butter

°1 package 250 g cream cheese

°1 teaspoon vanilla

+Cake:

°2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

°2 teaspoons baking powder

°1 teaspoon baking soda

°2 teaspoons cinnamon

°1/2 teaspoon salt

°1 cup vegetable oil

°2 cups sugar

°4 eggs

°1 teaspoon vanilla

°3 cups grated carrots

 

*PREPARATION

 

STAGE 1

Cake: Heat oven to 350°F. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in medium bowl.

 

STAGE 2

In a large bowl, combine the oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla.

 

STAGE 3

Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.

 

STAGE 4

Add the grated carrots.

 

STEP 5

Pour into the pan. Bake for about 50 minutes.

 

STEP 6

Cream cheese ice cream: beat butter and cream cheese.

 

STEP 7

Slowly stir in icing sugar and vanilla and beat until creamy.
