Mexican Restaurant Cheese Dip

1 lb white American cheese, cubed
1/2 cup milk (or as needed for desired consistency)
1 tablespoon butter
1 (4-ounce) can green chiles, diced
2 tablespoons jalapeños, chopped (adjust to taste)
1/4 cup onion, finely diced
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt to taste

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the diced onions and cook until they are translucent.
Reduce the heat to low and add the cubed white American cheese and milk. Stir continuously until the cheese is completely melted. If the dip is too thick, add more milk, a little at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.
Stir in the green chiles, jalapeños, cumin, and garlic powder. Mix well.
Season with salt to taste.
Continue to cook on low heat for a few more minutes, ensuring that all the ingredients are well incorporated and the dip is smooth and creamy.
Serve warm with tortilla chips, nachos, or your favorite Mexican dishes.
Enjoy your creamy and flavorful Mexican Restaurant Cheese Dip! 🍽️🎉
