Beef and barley soup



°Water 9-10 cups

°Half cup chopped onion

°Pearl barley 1 cup

°Bay leaf 1

°Boneless Chuck Roast 1 pound Cut into small pieces

°Sliced carrots 1 cup and a half

°Celery, sliced 1 cup and a half

°Mushrooms, sliced 8 ounces

°Beef base 2 tablespoons You can use here beef broth as well but beef base works as a charm and I have to use only 2 tablespoons for this recipe


* Methods :


Take a pan and cook the beef according to your taste as you like your cooked meat.

Add the carrots, water, bay leaf, onion, celery, mushrooms and beef base.

Cook over high heat and add the barley. Season with salt and pepper to taste and cook until the beef and vegetables are cooked to your liking.

Remove the bay leaf and serve in a dish with fish crackers, a little chili sauce, soy sauce and lemon.
