Ingredients :


°1/2 tsp olive oil

°1 yellow onion

°2 garlic

°1 lb ground beef

°1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

°1 teaspoon chili powder

°1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

°Salt and pepper to taste.

°1 can Hunt style diced tomatoes

°1/2 c green bell pepper

°1 c tomato sauce

°1 tbsp red hot sauce

°1 can black beans

°1 bay leaf

°5 cups (1250 ml) chicken broth

°Fresh parsley for garnish

°Sour cream 1 cup (250 mL) shredded Monterrey Jack style cheese


*Preparation :


Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a large pot. Adding onion & garlic & sauté for 2 min. Adding meat also spices. Brown the meat for about 6 minutes. Add tomatoes, peppers, tomato sauce, hot sauce and black beans. Cook for 3 minutes. Add the meatball broth. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste. Put in bowls. Garnish with parsley, sour cream and cheese. To serve!
